Trestle work built under the car. In order to provide safety for the crew, and a platform for straightening the frame, trestle bents were constructed under the car. Design of the bents was derived form pictures of the bents on the Bagby bridge found in the Hank Johnston book "Railroads of the Yosemite Valley."
